Professor Suhrawardy, is one of the esteemed Ophthalmologists in Bangladesh who has been trained in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Royal college of Ophthalmologists. He has over 40 years clinical, academic and research experience in Bangladesh, Europe and other countries of the world. He is also an examiner of BCPS (Bangladesh college of Physicians and Surgeons).

Professor Gulam Khandaker

Professor Khandaker is a public health physician and an expert on infectious diseases and childhood disability in low and middle income countries (LMIC). He is a fellow of the Australian faculty of Public Health Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Professor Khandaker is one of the lead investigators of the Bangladesh Cerebral Palsy. Register (BCPR) study which is the first population based surveillance of children with CP in LMIC to date. His research focuses on preventable causes of childhood disability in LMIC, gaining better understanding of the causal pathways for disability, testing innovative community-based interventions for early detection and prevention of childhood, and improving the quality of life of children with disabilities and their families, especially Cerebral Palsy (CP).
Professor Khandaker has completed his PhD from the University of Sydney and subsequently received highly prestigious Early Career Fellowship (Post doc) from Australia National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Dr. Khandaker is widely published and has over 75 per reviewed publications. He has established research collaborations in several LMICs including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
