I am glad to welcome you all to the Department of Textile Engineering at University of South Asia. After establishment in the Fall semester of 2005, this department is creating a culture of excellence by focusing on 4C Education – that is Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity.

Our Textile curriculum is providing major concentration on:

  • Apparel Manufacturing Engineering
  • Fabric Manufacturing Engineering
  • Yarn Manufacturing Engineering and
  • Wet Processing Engineering

Quality education needs standard practical and real-time factory knowledge. To achieve that we are arranging regular factory visits, industrial internship, visits to the different international textile fair and so on. However, we have state-of-the-art laboratories like:

  • Wet Processing Laboratory
  • Apparel Manufacturing Laboratory
  • Fabric/Yarn/Color Testing & Quality Control Laboratory
  • Physics Laboratory
  • Chemistry Laboratory and
  • CAD Laboratory

We have meritorious teachers who have achieved their degrees from BUTEX, BUET, DU, KUET and MBSTU. However, some of our faculties have foreign degrees from UK and China. Some of our faculties achieved Prime Minister Gold Medal for their meritorious results.

Renowned professors from BUTEX, BJRI, BAEC, DUET and JU deliver lectures in our department regularly.

We arrange Seminar, Research based Conference like Textile Idea Fest and Webinar on a regular basis. Every year we publish our research articles/scientific papers in different national and international journal including University of South Asia Journal (USAJ).

Already more than 3000 students are working with a good reputation in the Textile Sector in Bangladesh and abroad after passing B. Sc. in Textile Engineering from University of South Asia. That’s why we have a strong alumni network which helps fresher students to take jobs at ease.

Getting quality higher education is expensive but as a non-profit university, University of South Asia is offering B. Sc. in Textile Engineering Degree at lowest cost among reputed leading private universities in Bangladesh.
